  1. Man, that board turned out very nicely. I wasn't crazy about the low wing/pulled in mini swallow at first, but darn, now I'm all about it! Great paint job too.

  2. Hey Alex, Thank you for the kind words my friend. I agree the delayed wings always appear to add some "tension" to the tail curve due to the wings being very close to the tail. I felt this was essential to the design to maintain the type of performance in small waves this board was primarily going to be ridden.

EC likes his shapes with extra volume for his size, esp likes the wider tails for extra lift and glide for weaker surf. Wanting to maintain this but wanted something that will still pivot quicker and square off turns easier with out loosing all the benefits of having a wider tail.

  3. Oh another thing about the Floruescent High Lighter yellow, this is one of the most difficult colors to spray due to the UV sensitivity.

EC supplied his own diagram of his lay out which I forwarded to Rick Karens the airspray artist and he nailed the color. Nice to work with pros.

  4. looks sweet....I'm also a larger (6'1", 215), more mature surfer that needs a little extra float. what are the dimensions on the mushbuster & how big is EC? entry rocker looks pretty flat...true?

  5. Lemmer,
Dims are 5'11" x 20.5" x 2.62" glassed thickness. EC is approx 5'9" 165lb, his fav shapes are a Bryd-Fish and an Acorn that were shaped by me. By his feedback of his previous shapes I was able to dial in these dims and rockers.
