New Double Winged Mush Buster for Casey

Casey originally was interested in the New Double Winged Skate model which would be ideal for better shaped waves or smaller framed riders. Casey is over 6' and 210lbs the faster entry rocker of the Mush Buster is a much more pragmatic shape for waves ridden primarily here So Bay for head/shoulder high and smaller. Speeeeed!

Another slightly tweaked Low Chip for Mike

This Low Chip is slightly tweaked version of the one I shaped a couple weeks ago. Added .100" to width, added .100" from tip to center, added .05" from tail to center. Opened up the concave in tail with slight vee off tip.

Another Custom Super Dyna-Glyde for Terence this time in EPS/Epoxy

This is Terence's second Dyna-Glyde the last one was done in poly at around 9'6". He wanted to try this one in EPS/epoxy at 10'2". Shaped from custom rockered White Hot Foam EPS from USblanks.

Hey Wayne,

2 sessions on the cosmic glyder so far and I am blown away at how fun it is. It paddles so well and catches waves effortlessly. The whole time I had a stupid grin on my face because I was having so much fun. The lip at the rear of the board works great for putting my rear foot against it to snap the board around. I thought it was going to be a glide and cruise board, which it is, but it can also be controlled and moved around like a thrown around like a performance shortboard.

It took a few waves to figure it out, but after that it was a wave catching magnet. This shape has opened up a whole different realm of surfing for me.

Hi Wayne,

Wanted to reach out and let you know how great the winged skate is! I've been so busy the last few weeks and haven't gone out as much as I normally do, but I've still been able to squeeze in some good opportunities to ride the board and its absolutely great to ride. You were right, it didn't take very long to get the feel for the board at all. One thing that actually amazed me was that even though it had some added thickness and width compared to my old board, it didn't feel like a block of foam under my feet. It goes down the line really fast, but still feels like a hp shortboard. I've been using the twin finner set up mostly and absolutely love it! For the mushy waves we've been getting, its the perfect balance of looseness and drive. It just feels amazing under my feet. I really do feel more of a connection surfing with this board then I've had with any of my others and I can't really explain it any other way.

Unfortunately I haven't yet been able to work on the art for the board because of my schedule lately, but I'm hoping either next weekend or the weekend after I'll have it painted. I'll make sure to get some pictures to you once it's done.

Truly thanks for taking the time to work with me to get the board right. It really does pay off and its been by far the most satisfying experience I've had with a shaper and a board.
