Rus's New 2011 Winged Skate


New 2011 Winged Skate shape. Re worked mid through tail template with added wing. Bottom has a mild flat to slight concave with double running up past mid section. Good for grovelling and boosting. Neutral bottom and rocker, can be set up as Twin, Twin small trailer, Quad, Tri, 5 fin convertible.

    I thought my next one would be some flavor of to the Grovelor II, but man! I love that outline! Is that an all rounder?

  2. Alex, thanks! Yes this shape would work well as a daily driver. Ah yes, I see this outline is similar to your photoshoped image youe sent me. I think this shape may work well for you, instead of the Grovelor. Both would work well just depends on what type of waves your looking to ride them in..

  4. Nate, same rocker and foil, template change from previous model and some bottom tweaks.

    I used the 66EA USblanks OK for thinner boards but the plug has too much deck crown and not enough thickness out on the rail in the tail section to accomodate nice concaves and modern tail/reil rocker. It was a toss up between the 65A fish blank which is too wide for this shape, would result in weak foam out on the rails.. USblank needs some new plugs. I find most of their plugs too thins and the rails too pinched...
