Scott, Jim Hodges did the best he could to get the "Safety Cone Orange". He mentioned he went through 3 buckets of Epoxy resin with his custom orange tint to get this color. I hope you like it. It's not fluorescent but it's damn bright! LOl..
Nate, Sorry, I didn't get any shots of channels. I have images of most everything else. Doh.. I was focused on shooting images of the Double Apex Rails and didn't think about the 6-channels. Not much different than the 6 channels of your other D-G.
Wayne no worries I got some new stickers for your wall I will send them down next week, football is right around the corner... need to think up of a Viking model board! LOL nate
Wow Nice board Scott is gonna be pleased. Wayne what kind of rocker numbers does that egg have? and what type of conditions is it shaped for? Thanks Jim N
Jim, the dyna-egg is founded on exactly the same proven rockers of the dyna-glyde. The template of the d-egg is narrower at nose and tail at 12". Designed for waves with some push and some power if ridden in the same widths of a d-glyde. I designed this shape to compliment the d-glyde. For small weaker surf go 1/2" - 1" wider. This is a very progressive shape. Not like any type of egg you will see anywhere, it is quite unique. W.
wayne Would the tail rocker change if it was a straight thruster it looks like that would be a great setup with this board looks like it would just drive off the bottom at mock 10... nate
Nate, as a thruster the rocker will be same but the center fin will change the pivot and release point farther towards the tail and will increase drive through turns ESP through bottom turns out in the flats.
FINALLY get a chance to drop a line on how this is performing!! (or, finally remembered, LOL) Been loving having this in my quiver -- feels a smidge more manueverable than my "standard" DG especially at 4ft and up, it likes a little juice behind it. so far, best as a thruster -- quad set up didnt seem to "kick" like a thought it would, but may have been the fins (tried out the funky Futures "Elevon" with wings). I've been able to make turns I hadnt before, some great cutbacks in this earl fall swell bump. Another WINNER from the greatness that is WO + OakFoils!!!
Scott, thanks for the update! Try some different quad set up, If you are in the area maybe we can swap out the quads... I think the 413's maybe too much fin, we should try the 375's...
