Oak/Smith Collab One Trick Pony for Josh

This shape was designed for Kelly's good friend Josh, I shaped the board and Kelly did the glass job. I can't believe this is Kelly's first gloss and polish. With some pointers and a little help with some special compounds Kelly was able to get a really nice finish, I must say it polished out nicely. Stoked! :)

  2. Wayne what are the rails like... 50/50 or a little more sharp? If I order one will Kelly glass it?

    1. Nate, the rails are traditional styled but the proportions are modern. In a nutshell modern traditional. ;)

    2. Nate, I'm working with Kelly as just a mentor, giving some time up for the future. It's hope for the future. Im sure Kelly would appreciate the opportunity and you would be helping the next generation to carry on a tradition.

  3. hey nate, i am more than stoked to glass it if you want me to. it would carry the oak/smith label. the rails are pinched 5050, not quite as sharply pinched as my 9'9 one trick pony though. definitely feel good in the hand, this is some refined loggery . . . .

  4. Nate - I was lucky enought to see the board in person and the glass job came out really nice. Kelly was only just starting to polish it and it already looked pretty damn nice, so I can't imagine how nice the finished board looks. I am sure you will be stoked with Kelly's lamination work.
