Gregs custom Step-Down The "Tanto"

Gregs custom Step-Back The "Tanto" ready for some mainland Mex action.

The Samurai "Tanto" was a small concealed single or double edged knife / dagger. It was the smallest of the double back-up to the "Katana" the largest sword and mid-sized "Wakizashi". The Katana and the Wakizashi together were called the "Daisho".
The Tanto was designed primarily as a stabbing instrument, but the edges can be used to slash as well. The "Katana", "Wakizashi", and "Tanto" will be a series of high-performance oriented wave slashing weapons for serious waves. I thought the Tanto and the Samurai sword moniker would be suited for these series of shapes.

  2. I usually don"t like any kind of pin tail. This one looks nice. Wayne do you remember the wafer thin teardrop 7'3" rounded pin you made for me or Darrin Nichols back in the early 90's?? Can't remember whose name went on it but it was magic! Not that I need one but just brought back memories with the description of these "blades" Great Puerto Escondido board

  3. Hey Lance, Yeah, I remember those guns shapes, if I recall correctly I was pushing the perameters of foils back then. Sick looking shapes and foils, but were designed for only the few that could ride them correctly. The glory years!
